VR Controls

For the most comfortable experience in VR, please ensure that two compatible controllers are connected when wearing the headset. Compatible controllers include Varjo controllers, Meta Quest Controllers, and most OpenXR controllers.

There are two different movement modes in VR: Leap Navigation & Flying Navigation.

Leap Navigation will allow one to leap around the Teleport capture. The parabolic arc that appears when moving the joystick in a direction will indicate the path of the leap, with the circle on the ground designating the end point once the leap is completed. All movement will stay at ground level.

Flying Navigation will grant one the ability to fly around the entire Teleport capture with no limits. Moving the joystick in this method will translate oneself in the direction of the joystick + headset orientation. In other words, pushing upward on the left joystick while looking directly above will translate you upward. The same action while looking directly forwards will move one forward.

Controls on other non-Varjo controllers map similarly to the diagram shown above. Please substitute buttons for your connected controllers. In case you experience certain issues with other controllers or with Varjo controllers, please report them to [email protected].
