Also referred to as the “Teleport Unity App”, the Teleport Desktop Application allows for viewing of Teleport captures either in 2D with greater functionality / tooling (further outlined in ‘Customization / Editing’) or in VR across a multitude of headset platforms.
To get started, download the Teleport Desktop App from the Teleport Downloads Page.
How to view in Varjo Headsets
Varjo XR headsets provide a fully immersive experience for Teleport, ideal for those who want to perceive the scale and depth of the reconstructed space as if physically present.
To begin, please ensure that the Varjo headset is compatible. Teleport is compatible with all 3rd-generation Varjo headsets (Aero, VR-3, XR-3) as well as 4th-generation Varjo headsets (XR-4 & XR-4 Focal Edition).
In case you haven’t already, download the Unity app from the Teleport Downloads Page - teleport.varjo.com/downloads
Next, ensure that the latest version of Varjo Base is installed on the viewing PC. Additionally, ensure that the Varjo headset is connected and powered with Varjo Base running.
Lastly, you can run a scene by clicking on the capture you'd like to view. Then, from the capture page, click ‘Launch in Ultra HD & VR' and allow the Unity app to open with your capture loaded automatically. The app will detect whether or not you have a headset connected and you’ll then be able to view the scene in VR.
Please refer to the ‘VR Controls’ page to learn more about how to move about the scene while immersively viewing.
How to view in non-Varjo headsets
Teleport operates within a wide variety of non-Varjo headsets as well, offering flexibility beyond the Varjo ecosystem. Supported headsets include but is not limited to: Quest 2, Quest Pro, Quest 3 & 3S, HTC Vive, PICO, Valve Index, and all other OpenXR headsets. Teleport does not support the Apple Vision Pro currently.
In order to run on non-Varjo headsets, begin by connecting your headset to your PC. Then, you may run any Teleport scene simply by clicking on ‘Launch in Ultra HD & VR'.
Running a Teleport Scene on Quest Link / Air Link
To use Teleport with Meta Quest headsets, you’ll need to be connected to a compatible PC via the Quest Link cable or wirelessly using Quest Air Link. Ensure that Quest Link is installed and running. Then, open the Teleport Desktop App on your PC for high-fidelity viewing in VR.
